Yorkie Pom Temperament

The Yorkiepom is intelligent, loving and active. This small bundle of joy does well with children & most other pets. The Yorkiepom is loyal to their owners and makes a perfect lap dog.

Yorkie Pom Health Considerations

With the Yorkiepom being such a small designer breed, it is important to watch for dental disease. Because of their small jaws, their teeth may become crowded. Other health concerns to watch for are:

  • Eye Issues (Cataracts)
  • Epilepsy
  • Diabetes
  • Fluxating Patella

All mixed breed dogs have a better chance of having less health concerns because of their genetic diversity.

Yorkie Pom Coat

Their coat for the most part is hypoallergenic. The Yorkiepoms coat can be fine, silky & curly or soft to the touch and fluffy.

Daily brushing is required in this designer breed. Clipping every 6 – 8 weeks will also help maintain a healthy coat. As their fine hair grows out longer, it is more prone to collect dirt & dead hair causing knotting & matting.
