Want to bring home an adorable Pomsky puppy for sale? You’ve come to the right place. At Keystone Puppies, our mission is to help Pomsky puppies find their forever homes. In addition to Pomskies, we work with a range of other designer breeds — including Pomeranians, Siberian Huskies, Siberian Husky-Poos, and more! All our puppies are bred with the highest standards of ethical integrity — free of common genetic defects that impact less scrupulous breeders — and are raised in happy homes where they’re treated like part of the family before becoming part of yours!
Pomskies are a relatively new breed of dog, but they have already gained a lot of popularity thanks to their cute, fluffy appearance. But where do Pomskies come from?
The Pomsky is a cross between a Pomeranian and a Husky. The first Pomsky was bred in 2009, and the breed has since been growing in popularity. Pomskies are known for being intelligent and energetic dogs. They typically weigh between 20 and 30 pounds and stand about 12 to 15 inches tall at the shoulder.
These dogs are typically very friendly and make great companions. However, they do require plenty of exercise and should not be left alone for too long, as they can become bored and destructive.
If you’re looking for a furry friend that will bring years of joy, then a Pomsky might just be the perfect pet for you!
- Country of Origin: N/A
- Weight: 20 - 30 lbs
- Height: 12 - 15 inches
- Color: This new variant comes in many colors common to Pomeranians, including red, orange, cream, sable, black, brown, blue, brindle, and parti-colored. However, most breeders are striving for variations of white, black, and grey, similar to their Husky parent. Pomskies that look like miniature Siberian Huskies are often considered the breed’s ideal.
Pomsky Puppies Temperament
Pomskies inherit the best traits of both their parent breeds! They are intelligent and alert, making them excellent watchdogs.
These pups have a lot of energy, and they need plenty of exercise. A tired dog is usually a well-behaved dog, so make sure to give your Pomsky plenty of opportunities to burn off steam. Lastly, Pomskies are social creatures, and they love attention. Be sure to give your furry friend plenty of affection and praise, and he or she will be sure to thrive.
Overall, Pomskies make great companion animals for active families who can provide them with plenty of love and attention.
Pomsky Puppies Health Considerations
Though generally very healthy and long-lived — with an average lifespan of around 13 to 15 years — our Pomskies for sale are not without their unique health concerns. Like every breed of dog, there are a few conditions you should be aware of before you consider purchasing one of our Pomsky puppies for sale. Understanding the risks allows you to know the signs and prevent small health concerns from turning into big ones.
Pomsky puppies are at somewhat elevated risk for developing the following conditions:
- Dental Issues
- Luxating Patella
- Allergies
- Eye Issues
One of the most important thing to keep an eye on is the weight of your Pomsky. Because they are a hybrid breed, they can be prone to obesity. This is why it is important to make sure they get plenty of exercise and eat a healthy diet. Another potential health concern for Pomskies is joint problems. This is something to keep in mind if your dog seems to be limping or having trouble getting up from a lying position.
Finding a Pomsky puppy for sale from a reputable breeder can dramatically — although, not eliminate — the risk of your dog developing some of these conditions. At Keystone Puppies, we work exclusively with experienced breeders who are committed to producing healthy & happy pups. Pomsky Puppies Coat & Coat Care
Pomskies are known for their thick, dense coat that helps to keep them warm in cold weather. They come in a variety of colors, including black, white, brown, and red. Pomskies require regular grooming to maintain their coats in good condition. We recommend brushing their coat once or twice a week with a soft brush to help remove any dirt or debris, as well as distribute their natural oils evenly. In addition, Pomskies should be bathed every few months with a mild dog shampoo.Taking care of a Pomsky’s coat is essential to keeping them looking and feeling their best. With regular brushing and bathing, you can help to ensure that your Pomsky has a healthy and shiny coat that is free of tangles or mats.
