Want to bring home an adorable Shichon puppy for sale? You’ve come to the right place. At Keystone Puppies, our mission is to help Shichon puppies find their forever homes. In addition to Shichons, we work with a range of other breeds — including Bichon Frise, Bichpoo, Mal-Shi, and more! All our puppies are bred with the highest standards of ethical integrity — free of common genetic defects that impact less responsible breeders — and are raised in happy homes where they’re treated like part of the family before becoming part of yours!
The Shichon is a hybrid breed of dog that was developed in the United States in the 1990s. The breed is a cross between the Bichon Frise and the Shih Tzu, two breeds that are known for their affectionate and playful personalities. The Shichon shares many of the best qualities of its parents, including a love for play, a gentle disposition, and a soft, fluffy coat.
The breed has become increasingly popular in recent years as more people seek out dogs that are both low-maintenance and good with children. If you are looking for a furry friend that will bring joy to your life, then the Shichon may be the perfect dog for you!

Shichon Puppies Temperament
Shichons are a popular hybrid breed, known for their small size, teddy bear-like appearance, and gentle personality. They are typically cheerful and affectionate dogs that enjoy spending time with their families. They do not require a lot of exercise, but they do need some daily activity to stay happy and healthy.
Although they are friendly with people, Shichons can be wary of strangers and may bark to alert their owners of someone approaching the house. With proper socialization from an early age, however, Shichons can learn to welcome visitors into the home. Overall, Shichons make great companion animals for families who are looking for a small, loving dog.
Shichon Puppy Health Considerations
Though generally very happy and long-lived — with an average lifespan of around 10-13 years — our Shichons for sale are not without their unique health concerns. Like every breed of dog, there are a few conditions you should be aware of before you consider purchasing one of our Shichon puppies for sale. Understanding the risks allows you to know the signs and prevent small health concerns from turning into big ones.
Shichon puppies are at a somewhat elevated risk for developing the following conditions:
- Respiratory Difficulties
- Eye Defects
- Joint Problems
Some of the most common health concerns for Shichons include respiratory difficulties, congenital eye defects, and joint problems. Because of their small size, Shichons are particularly susceptible to respiratory infections and difficulties. They can also be born with congenital eye defects, such as cataracts or retinal dysplasia. Joint problems, such as luxating patellas, are also common in this breed.
With some basic knowledge of the breed’s health concerns, you can be sure to give your Shichon the best possible chance at a long and healthy life. Finding a Shichon puppy for sale from a reputable breeder can also dramatically — although, not eliminate — the risk of your dog developing some of these conditions. At Keystone Puppies, we work exclusively with experienced breeders who are committed to producing healthy & happy pups. Shichon Puppies Coat & Coat Care
The coat of a Shichon is one of its most distinctive features. The outer layer is composed of long, silky hairs, while the undercoat is dense and fluffy. This combination provides the dog with both warmth and protection from the elements.
Shichons require very little in the way of coat care – a weekly brushing will help to remove any loose hairs and keep the coat healthy and free of tangles. However, it’s important to avoid over-brushing, as this can damage the delicate structure of the coat. In general, a Shichon’s coat is low-maintenance and easy to care for.
