Poo-Shi Temperament

The Poo-Shi is intelligent, even tempered & affectionate. This spirited breed can be apprehensive of strangers or other animals that they are not familiar with.

Poo-Shi Health Considerations

The Poo-Shi life expectancy is between 12 – 16 years. The Poo-Shi breed have a few health concerns to watch for are:

  • Patella Luxation
  • Allergies
  • Eye Problems
  • Ear Infections

All mixed breed dogs have a better chance of having less health concerns because of their genetic diversity.

Poo-Shi Coat

The Poo-Shi coat can be curly and low shedding but they can also have a double coat. The under coat is soft to the touch while the outer coat is straight & harsh.

Brushing 2 – 3 times weekly will help prevent tangling & matting. If the Poo-Shi has predominant Shiba Inu features, they will tend to shed a little. Brushing more frequent during those times will help maintain a healthy coat.
