Labradoodle Breed Overview

Want to bring home an adorable Labradoodle puppy for sale? You’ve come to the right place. At Keystone Puppies, our mission is to help Labradoodle puppies find their forever homes. In addition to Labradoodles, we work with a range of other designer breeds — including Goldendoodles, Mini Goldendoodles, Poodles, and more! All our puppies are bred with the highest standards of ethical integrity — free of common genetic defects that impact less scrupulous breeders — and are raised in happy homes where they’re treated like part of the family before becoming part of yours!

The origins of the Labradoodle are a bit of a mystery. Some say the breed was created in Australia in the 1980s when a woman named Wally Conron bred a Labrador Retriever with a Standard Poodle in an effort to create a hypoallergenic guide dog for a blind woman. Others believe the Labradoodle is a much older breed that originated in Newfoundland, Canada. Regardless of its precise origins, there’s no doubt that the Labradoodle has become one of the most popular dog breeds in recent years.

The Labrador part of the Labradoodle heritage means that these dogs are energetic, friendly, and intelligent, while the Poodle part gives them a non-shedding coat that can be either curly or wavy. Because they inherit the best of both breeds, Labradoodles make great family pets. They are good with children and other pets, and they are highly trainable. And since they don’t shed much, they are also a good choice for people with allergies. If you’re looking for a fun-loving and affectionate dog, the Labradoodle might be the perfect breed for you.

Labradoodle Puppies Temperament

Labradoodles are a popular type of dog, known for their friendly temperament and outgoing personality. They are also highly intelligent and easily trained, making them ideal pets for families with children. Labradoodles are generally good-natured and affectionate dogs that enjoy spending time with their families. They are energetic and playful, but can also be calm and gentle when needed. With proper training and socialization, Labradoodles make great companion animals.

To keep your dog calm and centered, make sure you provide him with lots of daily exercise. This breed needs plenty of active outdoor time, and usually enjoys playing fetch. He isn’t always a good choice for apartment dwellers.

Labradoodle Puppies Health Considerations

Though generally very healthy and long-lived — with an average lifespan of around 12 – 15 years — our Labradoodles for sale are not without their unique health concerns. Like every breed of dog, there are a few conditions you should be aware of before you consider purchasing one of our Labradoodle puppies for sale. Understanding the risks allows you to know the signs and prevent small health concerns from turning into big ones.

Some of the most common health concerns for Labradoodles include allergies, hip dysplasia, and elbow dysplasia. Allergies are the most common concern and can be caused by anything from pollen to grass. Hip dysplasia is a condition that affects the hip joint, and can lead to pain and lameness. Elbow dysplasia is a similar condition that affects the elbow joint.

Finding a Labradoodle puppy for sale from a reputable breeder can dramatically — although, not eliminate — the risk of your dog developing some of these conditions. At Keystone Puppies, we work exclusively with experienced breeders who are committed to producing healthy & happy pups. Labradoodle Puppies Coat & Coat Care

Labradoodles have a variety of coat types, from straight to curly, and everything in between. The coat also comes in a wide range of colors, including black, brown, cream, apricot, gold, and red. Regardless of the type or color of the coat, all Labradoodles need regular grooming to stay healthy and comfortable. Brushing at least once a week will help to remove dead hair and distribute natural oils throughout the coat. If the coat is left unbrushed, it can become matted and uncomfortable for the dog. In addition, regular baths are also important to keep the coat clean and free of dirt and debris. When selecting a shampoo, be sure to choose one that is designed for dogs with sensitive skin. Overall, with regular care, a labradoodle’s coat can be a source of pride for both owner and dog alike.
