Belgian Malinois Puppies Temperament
The Belgian Malinois is an incredibly devoted, disciplined, and intelligent breed of dog. A Malinois will form a deep bond with his family, but is naturally wary around strangers, making them an excellent guardian breed. Outgoing by nature, they love the company of people and other dogs, but given their protective instincts can be highly territorial around other animals in the home.
They have high energy levels and thrive with regular exercise and physical activity; without enough stimulation they can become frustrated or destructive. Their temperament requires an experienced owner who knows how to set boundaries. As far as personalities go, there’s nothing quite like a Belgian Malinois–they really do make amazing companions!
Belgian Malinois Puppy Health Considerations

- Hip Dysplasia

Belgian Malinois Puppy Coat & Coat Care
Belgian Malinois dogs have thick and heavy coats, which are very well suited for protection from cold and rainy weather. Although their short fur is low maintenance, daily brushing is recommended to maintain the natural oils in their coat – this will keep it looking healthy and lustrous. During the warmer months, regular baths are important to keep your pup smelling fresh! Just ensure you’re using a shampoo specifically made for dogs that won’t strip away their natural oils. After every bath, use a brush with soft bristles before blow drying the coat on a warm heat setting. By offering proper care, your pup’s beautiful Belgian Malinois coat will always look its best!
